We woke today to the tragic news of the sudden passing of our chairman Iain Muirhead, aged 45. Words cannot really express how much of a shock this was and we send our deepest sympathies to the Muirhead family and his many friends and acquaintances. 

Iain was a long time committee member who followed in his father Jock's footsteps in becoming chairman of the club. It is definitely a football family with his mother Irene also involved as the minute secretary and canteen lady, and his sister Heather who is currently serving on the committee. His children Jay, Connor and Shane were also fans and attended matches whenever they could.

In his time as chairman he always sought to push the club forward, and he was a real driving force in the efforts to secure a club license and gain promotion to the Lowland League.

Iain will always be remembered by everyone at Bo'ness United, may he rest in peace.
